The Vaulted Country Kitchen: Seamless Design in Grey and Cream

Located in Alconbury, Cambridgeshire, this project's core design brief was to transform a vaulted, open-plan space into a cohesive, highly functional social hub. The sophisticated solution hinged on 1909 In-Frame cabinetry with Quarter Round Beading. The color palette defined the functional zones: perimeter units in Porcelain and Stone maximized light and space, reflecting the natural light from the skylights. This bright backdrop contrasts sharply with the central island and feature range enclosure, both finished in bold Graphite. This dark centerpiece houses the professional-grade Falcon Range and Extractor alongside specialized cooking surfaces like the AEG Tepan Yaki & Induction domino wok. Further modern utility is provided by integrated Siemens built-in ovens and a Neff XL Fridge & Freezer, all set beneath durable Lundhs Antique Granite worktops, creating a perfect blend of high-end specification and traditional charm.

The luxurious yet authentic feel of the space is cemented by the meticulous selection of finishes. The warm, inviting tone is immediately established by the Karndean Art Select Summer Oak LVT flooring and the rustic aesthetic of the exposed wooden beams and striking antler chandeliers. This detail-oriented approach ensures seamless flow between the cooking and dining areas. The two-tone Porcelain and Graphite color scheme continues, providing a consistent backdrop to the bespoke seating arrangements, which feature rich leather and traditional tartan fabrics. By balancing the classic, high-quality 1909 In-Frame millwork with contemporary appliance performance and the hard-wearing functionality of the Lundhs Antique Granite and Karndean LVT, the final environment achieves a uniquely tailored ambiance - a durable, expansive, and deeply personalized country home designed for both daily comfort and impressive entertaining.
